As a destination wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of stunning locations and beautiful couples, but Conlee and Forrest’s engagement session at Maroon Bells scenic area in Aspen, Colorado was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Despite the rainy summer day, the love between these two was palpable, and we were able to capture some incredible moments.

Maroon Bells is one of the most picturesque locations in Colorado, and it’s easy to see why. The dramatic peaks and crystal-clear lake make for the perfect backdrop for any photoshoot. However, with the unpredictable Colorado weather, you never know what you’re going to get. When I arrived on the day of the shoot, I was met with dark clouds and a light drizzle. But Connie and Forrest weren’t phased in the slightest. They were ready to make the most of the day, rain or shine.

As we made our way to the Maroon Bells scenic area, we all had our fingers crossed for a break in the weather. But as we arrived at our location, it became clear that the rain wasn’t going to let up. However, Conlee and Forrest were troopers. They were willing to do whatever it took to get the perfect shot, even if that meant getting a little bit wet.

We started the shoot walking against the backdrop of the mountains. Despite the weather, the scenery was still breathtaking, and Conlee and Forrest looked like they were straight out of a fairy tale. As we continued, the rain picked up, and we took shelter under some trees next to a nearby stream. In the end, it all came together perfectly.

Looking back on the shoot, I’m struck by Conlee and Forrest’s dedication to each other and always having having fun together. They didn’t let a cloudy day dampen their spirits, and their love shone through in every shot. As a photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with.

So if you’re planning an engagement session or wedding in Aspen, Colorado, don’t let the weather scare you off. With the right attitude, you can still capture stunning photos that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
