Celebrating a year of marriage

Nina and Benjamin wanted to commemorate their one year wedding anniversary with a photoshoot on the Oregon Coast.  We though beautiful Cape Kiwanda would be the perfect spot.  I got together with a wedding planner friend of mine on the idea.  We decided to combine the anniversary with some Oregon Coast wedding inspiration.  We used a black Elizabeth Dye tulle gown and a bouquet inspired by the Pacific Northwest Coast.  They were perfect for Oregon Coast wedding inspiration.

The Black Wedding Dress

Some might think a black wedding gown means going in a dark or kitschy direction.  However, we wanted to convey more of a romantic feel.  Of course, any Oregon Coast wedding will likely be a little moodier.  The area is known to have lots of fog and cloud cover.  This day was no different.  The Elizabeth Dye dress worked very well with the surroundings.

The Oregon Coast Wedding inspired bouquet

Brenna Burnett designed the bouquet to mimic the colors and textures of the Oregon Coast.  It featured a base of ferns from Oregon’s forest and flowers with seaside textures and colors.
